Tonight you're mine, completely
You give your love so sweetly
Tonight the light of love is in your eyes
But will you love me tomorrow
You give your love so sweetly
Tonight the light of love is in your eyes
But will you love me tomorrow
Is this a lasting treasure
Or just a moment's pleasure
Can I believe the magic in your sighs
Will you still love me tomorrow
Or just a moment's pleasure
Can I believe the magic in your sighs
Will you still love me tomorrow
Tonight with words unspoken
You say that I'm the only one
But will my heart be broken
When the night meets the morning sun
You say that I'm the only one
But will my heart be broken
When the night meets the morning sun
Will
You Love Me Tomorrow? Was originally recorded by The
Shirelles. The song was written by the
amazing Carole King (and not just because she spells her name right).
In 1960, the song was a bit shocking. It appears to be about a girl thinking about
sleeping with someone and wondering if he'll still respect her in the morning.
It was a number one hit and remains one of my faves.
Although I always thought that it had 'still' in the title. The version I favour is the one on Tapestry.
