Food on Friday – Italian food

ON

Well, hello – or should that be Ciao!  This Food on Friday is collecting together Italian or Italian inspired dishes.
To add your Italian dish, just put the name of the dish together with your blog name/name into the first Mr Linky box you will find below.  Then paste the url for your post about it into the second box.
I'll be pinning the links to this Pinboard – this is a quick way for you to scan the dishes and choose which ones you want to check out in more detail.
Have fun! Arrivederci!

  5. Hi, Carole,
My Ma’s recipe - Anna Sultana’s Spaghetti with Garlic, Olive Oil and Chili Pepper (#26) - is really easy and quick.

The post also has a link for Carmela Soprano's Sunday Gravy (Tomato Sauce with Meat) and Homemade Meatballs, if someone wants to go to more trouble.

  16. Carole,
I can eat Italian food year round--in fact, with the first zucchini from the farm share this summer I made Zucchini and Carrot Escape (pronounce it like Dory from Finding Nemo "esss-kah-pay") or something like that. Caught my eye in a Giada de Laurentis cookbook, and we'll enjoy it with an antipasto platter over this holiday weekend. I attempted to make the pasta w/ olive oil, garlic, parsley, lemon and red pepper last night, from the movie Chef, but I think I skimped too much on the olive oil or my daughter was tooooooo generous with the pepper. We could eat it, but . . . not something I wish to repeat without tweaking.
I'm sharing an antipasti pasta salad with kale and radishes, a chicken saltimbocca stuffed with butternut squash, and a pizza w/ broccoli rabe, ricotta, and sausage because it seems pretty Italian to me.
If I could taste again that lemon rotisserie chicken I ate in Florence . . .
