Okay, so it's far from highbrow literature – but Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code was fun to read. It even kept the better half interested. It was published 10 years ago now and was truly a huge best seller.
I enjoyed it for what it was and didn't worry about factual accuracy any more than I did reading Harry Potter. Don't be put off by the many negative reviews – people seem to have given either 1 or 5 stars with not much in-between. It is worth a read as a fast paced but reasonably intelligent thriller.
