Food on Friday: Carrots and Leeks



 ON

As a change up from the exotic theme last week, this week it is those noble but humble vegetables Carrots and Leeks.

Carrots go well with:

Almonds
Bacon
Beef
Brown sugar
Butter
Celery
Chicken
Coriander (cilantro)
Cream
Cumin
Fennel seeds
Garlic
Garlic sausage
Ham
Hazelnuts
Honey
Mustard seeds
Nutmeg
Onions
Parsley
Peas
Potatoes
Raisins
Veal
Walnuts




Leeks go well with:

Anchovies
Bacon
Blue cheese
Boiled beef
Butter
Chicken
Chives
Cream
Eggs
Garlic
Goat's cheese
Gruyere cheese
Ham
Mint
Mustard
Olive oil
Parsley
Pastry
Potatoes
Salt cod
Watercress
Yoghurt

  7. Hi Carole! Carrots are my favourite vegetable and most things I cook have at least one carrot in them! I've shared a recipe for grain free courgette and carrot muffins and a cannelloni recipe using leeks instead of pasta.
