Solution – Patricia

So Patricia is a girl's name – but what does the rest of the clue mean?  Another word for "aristocratic" is "patrician" and if you leave the last letter off you get Patricia!  That the letter is deleted is the hint given by "not quite".


A patrician is a word that came to us from ancient Rome – it was the word they used for nobles as opposed to plebs or plebeians who were the common people.
