Books you loved – June edition

Update:  This linky is now closed to new entries.  If you would like to link a book you loved in, go to the July edition of Books You Loved.

I can't believe that a month has flown by since the last Books You Loved.  We ended up with links to over 40 books that you loved – ranging over several genres.

Books that I put onto my "must read" list as a result were:

Water for Elephants - thank you Sarah and Trisha's Book Blog

Paris In Love – thank you to The Brunette Librarian

And there were links to some of my favourite books:

The Talisman Ring – thank you Yvette
The Time Traveller's Wife – thanks, Talli
Voyager – thanks, Ursula

So as with last month, there are no rules.  Just put your links about a book or books you loved into Mr Linky.  It would be great if you put the title and author after your own name.  But don't worry, if you get it wrong, I now know how to fix it for you.

  2. Hi Carole,
This looks great. I love your blog idea. Don't quite understand the requirements of the URL listing, though--it wouldn't let me link just using my regular url:www.critiquesisterscorner.blogspot.com
As for my current favorite book: WILD, by Cheryl Strayed. It's amazing.

  11. Great idea! Book I loved #1 is a very old one: "Woman On The Edge Of Time" by Marge Piercy. It's one of the first dystopian novels and feminist literature books. A wonderful look at a dystopian world for women!
I appreciate your asking me to participate, Carole!

  27. Glad to take part again. On my blog I've been doing books first published in 1952, because of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in the UK, and B.Pym's Excellent Women has been one of the best re-reads. Plus, I found a great photo to illustrate it! Thanks Carole.

  37. I came across LOVE DOES while checking out of the Amazon website after purchasing PLATFORM by Michael Hyatt. In Platform, Hyatt talks about listening to Audio Books while he runs. I don’t like to run, but need to and I do like listening to books. The perfect compromise, I decided that the next book I started I would only listen to while running.

That next book happened to be LOVE DOES. I was hooked from the moment Bob was standing on Randy’s doorstep on his way to dropping out of high school and Randy said “I’m with you”. I find myself making time to run just so I can hear more.
