Movies to re-watch sometime – Part V

From Here to Eternity – 1953 – Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr.  Original sex on the beach movie.  Not as good as the book – but what movie is?  Won the Best Picture Oscar.

The Full Monty – 1997 – a dark comedy with great music.

Girl with a Pearl Earring – 2003 – about the creation of the famous work by Vermeer.  Fantastic and beautiful period piece.  Visually stunning.

The Graduate – 1967 – now we are back in the mists of time…  bitter-sweet comedy/drama – capturing the essence of the 60’s.  Great performances from Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft.

Grease – 1978 – another schlock movie that is still worth watching.  Good soundtrack and who can forget “Sandy” in those leather pants.  Full of feel good energy.
